Since 1977 our efforts have produced the following and many other projects.
We have donated some £750,000 to over 80 charities and good causes along with hundreds of needy individuals.
Environmental schemes for a local landmark at the Blue Bridge.
Established a local nature reserve.
Sent equipment to a children’s hospital in Romania.
Established a furniture recycling scheme.
Participated in running annual games for Disabled Persons
Provided a school kitchen in India.
Participated in the world-wide Polio Eradication Programme.
Supported the Annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
Jointly run a Swimathon event since 1982.
Organised the provision of an award-winning town War Memorial
Organised a Santa street collection for many years.
Supporte
d a village in Bali ravaged by Coronavirus by providing funds allowing for a colleague of Rotary Newton Aycliffe to purchase basic foods for those who were literally starving due to the pandemic
Supported Medical professionals in Arequipa Peru in their fight against Coronavirus
Most appropriately supported Kirk Merrington School in converting a Class 142 Pacer into a library and meeting space.
